When we started Convalt Energy, we envisioned making solar panels entirely in the United States. We are committed to producing high-quality, American-made solar panels designed to address all your energy needs.
In April 2021, Convalt Energy acquired solar panel production lines from SunPower Corporation’s facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. These production lines produce enough solar panels to generate 700 megawatts worth of energy a year. Once relocated to our new factory in Watertown, New York, our solar panel production portfolio will total 740 megawatts of panels annually, including utility-scale solar panels, rooftop solar panels, and building integrated solar panels (BIPV).
The SunPower facility was built by SolarWorld in 2009 to produce Tier 1 solar panels. In 2018, SunPower acquired this facility. With our recent acquisition of these production lines, we are on track to bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States! We won’t rest until we bring the entire supply chain back to America. You have our commitment on that!
